Description

Catering Sales Manager is responsible for finalizing social and group business while maximizing the banquet space to meet/exceed sales goals. Responsibilities include soliciting, negotiating and closing new and repeat business by via outside sales calls, inquiry answers, phone sales, networking, etc.

This person must be comfortable developing and soliciting new accounts as well as maintaining existing accounts. Will conduct inside and outside sales calls. This person serves as the point of contact for all social catering business until the group is in house and working with the Banquet Staff. Must be a team player with a proven track record in securing and servicing new accounts.

Requirements of the position include: a thorough knowledge of the practices and procedures of the catering, food & beverage and hospitality professions; effective communication skills, and the ability to negotiate, influence and sell professionals and/or prospective hotel guests. Must be knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Suite and Delphi and have at least 3 years of hospitality related sales experience. Schedule is Tuesday - Saturday with Sunday and Monday off.
